It was Kirby’s 20th Anniversary the other day and I was late on making art for it whoopsie-daisy.
Another good opportunity to try out lineless cutesy art. :v It came out well enough, I think.
They’re also making a 20th Anniversary collection disc for the Wii, apparently. It’s planned to include a bunch of things like Kirby’s Adventure, Kirby 64, Kirby Air Ride, and what have you. Dunno if I’m getting it or not, but something to look forward to for big-time Kirby fans. .w.
Also funnily enough, I began watching through the Kirby anime earlier this week before I realized Kirby’s birthday was coming up, pff

She’s pretty much the hippiest, swaggiest 13-year old cyborg war orphan to enter my life.
I just really like her because not only does she not give a fuck about anything ever, but her motif is basically 20’s cartoons. And the fact that she also references like a billion things. Every time she whips out her handgun and shouts “GAR-BAGE-DAY!” I smile. c:

I didn’t mind harlequins much before, like I’d just be all “oh that’s neat I guess” when I saw characters like Harley Quinn and Dimentio, but this particular character made me start liking them more. They’re pretty cool. 8T
Unfortunately, I can’t quite replicate Xandy’s coolness in my art style, so I just made her aderpable instead. LIKE I DO WITH EVERYTHING
Also jester pants and shoes are hard to draw, I definitely think I messed them up. ;-; FORGIVE MEEE
Last night, I spent some time cleaning out the back of my dA gallery of the crappiest pictures I made when I started drawing for real (though keeping some for history and comparison’s sake, obviously). One of them was a doodle I did of King Bob-omb, and I felt like drawing him again for the heck of it.
It was kinda convenient too, because I was experimenting with making round/dotted shapes using huge brush sizes for that last Pandora picture, so I was like “hm, maybe I could abuse the perfect roundness of the brushes here” and so I made LINELESS ART~
This was fun to work on, but I can’t imagine using lineless art for more complex things than circles and other simple shapes. :T I spent quite a bit of time just getting the crown and mustache right, pbbth. But I like how it turned out regardless. :V
Edit: Actually, Tumblr seems to have shrunken the picture down to 1280, so I’ll link the full size on my dA.
At first, I was just making a normal old pic of Pandora flying on a broom against the night sky, but then I was like “this would probably make a good wallpaper”, so I did a bit of extra work. :U
I’m actually quite proud of how this turned out for once, especially considering I went through another two-week art block-ish up until last night when I started on this. <3> I took some coloring/shading techniques I’ve been taught into this, which made it easier on me and easier on the eyes, hopefully.
I mostly just made this for me, but if any of you want to use it for some ungodly reason I can’t fathom, then go ahead. :V It’s a 1366x768 resolution, which is my laptop’s size. If you want a 1280x720, I’ve got that too. Though I actually drew the full picture in such a way that it’s pretty easy to just crop it down without ruining it. .3.
